Hanging out with the Grandparents

Here are a few pics of the kids I snapped at my parents house about a month ago. I'm a little late posting.

Archie has discovered pianos can make lots of noise:

Wow! Grace doesn't even take a bottle anymore!

Color Coordinated Fun!

My parents bought the kids these precious little coordinated outfits. I've been wanting to make some pics in them forever, but getting shots of two kids who'd rather be playing is pretty tough stuff.

Here's my favorite of the day:

My favorite solo Grace shot:

Another fun sibling pic:
See, told you they'd rather be playing. Football anyone?

Archie is such a Daddy's boy!

A simple celebration for Archie's 3rd Birthday!

Archie is THREE today! Happy Birthday to Daddy's Little Buddy and Mama's Little Boy! We love you! Today is a crazy day because Daddy had a career fair this morning, internship interview at noon and lab until 10 p.m. (Mommy had Bible study this morning and Archie has Awanas tonight.) But, we managed to run by Kroger and pick up a blue cake (Archie's request) and to Virginia Tech to pick up Daddy for lunch. Thank you, Daddy, for coming to celebrate with us. After a pizza-on-English-muffin lunch, which Archie was too excited to eat, we settled down for some cake.

Then, we opened the presents Memaw and Papa sent. It was a Wonder Pets themed birthday, and we've already watched the Wonder Pets save the Reindeer.

We think it's pretty hilarious that Archie got three-of-a-kind birthday cards for his THIRD birthday.

Grandpa and Grandma DeJ are coming Friday, and we can't wait to celebrate again! I'll try to update all the "what's Archie like now" stats soon!

Archie's first day of school!

Today was Archie's long anticipated first day of school. Here he is in front of the sign. I think he was excited but maybe a little nervous. Daddy is coming with me to pick him up at noon. He has school on Monday and Thursday mornings. He kept asking me if Gracer was going to school, too. Fun times!

Mini Leslie

Even though Grace is pretty much all Hunt, she is at least wearing some of my old clothes that my mother lovingly saved 27 years! I am amazed at how not-yellow-and-gross this dress was. Precious little girl!

The itch police!

Whenever Archie gets a bug bite, I always tell him, "Please don't scratch." He's pretty good about refraining - maybe better than me. Now, whenever I get a bug bite he always says "Please don't scratch, Mommy, please don't scratch." Didn't know I lived with the itch police but maybe it will help save my skin (literally).

The buzz cut!

In China, everyone buzzes their kids hair (regardless of sex) because they say it helps the hair grow in better. Grace's hair was awfully patchy so I thought I'd give it a try. I think she's just about the cutest ever with the buzz cut!

Archie enjoyed checking it out. I am hoping his sister set a good example for him, and he won't be afraid of the clippers next time!
