Grant's Funniest Home Videos: Christmas Edition

We celebrated Christmas early with my parents since this is our year to spend Christmas at Hunt's. Grant loved opening his first Christmas present ever. He was a little distracted by his favorite giraffe, though.

This dancing tree has been in the family since Hunt was a boy. Grant is doing his best to jam with it. I think it could make America's Funniest Home Videos!

Merry Christmas to all!!! Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

Brilliance in Flight

Hats off to my brilliant hubby who finally got his quadcopter flying. Little did Hunt know when he signed up for a personal enrichment master's level course in August that every waking non-work moment (weekends, evenings, even Thanksgiving break) would be devoted to getting his little baby in the air. Tomorrow night is the final class and the school is sending a camera crew to film the flights. I told him this project was kind of like having a baby. Months of suffering (for both of us) but it was worth it all when the little darling took off. I would even be up for him building another one with Archie (BUT NO MORE FORMAL COURSES WITH DEADLINES EVER)!

P.S. I designed the Styrofoam shoes the copter is wearing. We knew it would crash before it flew, and it would break without a cushion. It saved us several times tonight. Not often I come up with an engineering innovation, but I'll give my self credit where credit is due ;)

Safety First: Pillow Forts Rule!

Archie and Grace are very protective of their little brother. They didn't want him to topple over and hurt himself while I was doing my hair yesterday so they built him quite a fortress!

Draw * Write * Now, Grace!

I don't think I've ever loved a handwriting book as much as Draw * Write * Now! We just finished Lesson 1, and both of us are looking forward to the rest of the year. I wish I'd done it with Archie. I might still teach him some of the drawing. Grace draws chickens all the time now because she is so confident of her ability and pleased with the outcome.

Happy Sixth Months, Grant!

At sixth month, my little buddy stays busy exploring (and eating) his world. He loves to get up on all fours, rock back-and-forth, then scoot backward. He can also sit unassisted for a few minutes with help getting into position. He is way chatty and talks all the time. Everyone in the nursery seems to love him and I can see why! He's totally sweet and totally adorable.

Pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite things about fall (which is not one of my favorite seasons) is our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. I love taking my three little pumpkins on a hayride and taking their pictures (even if the picture taking is not their favorite part)! What a great day!

Grant goes for the Good Stuff

Even at the tender, young age of six months, Grant has a discriminating palette. One glimpse of that Halloween candy and he knew he had to have some! Sorry, Boy. Maybe next year. Glad you could enjoy the pretty, shiny paper for this year, though.

Scooting and Sitting

At six months, Grant is doing great pushing sort of up onto all fours and scooting backwards. He can also sit unassisted for short periods of time (with someone's hand behind to catch him if he falls).

Happy Halloween 2014

From one Power Ranger to another. I can't believe how long Grant is in comparison to Archie in this picture!

Happy Fourth and Fifth Months, Grant!

Lancaster Fun

From horse drawn buggy rides through Amish country to hanging out at the hotel's indoor pool, our short trip to Lancaster a few weeks ago was a lot of fun! I'll have to take more pictures next time!

More Grant Cuteness!

These pics are older but too cute not to post!!!

Monster Baby, Monster Cuteness!

Weighing in at nearly 20 pounds, Grant's 5-month-old size is topping the charts, but what's even more important is his size-to-cuteness ratio. No other baby (except maybe Archie or Grace) has ever packed in so much cuteness per pound! We love him!!!

I love beets and applesauce (and make a mess eating them!)
Sibling Love
Baby Archie on top, Monster Baby Grant on bottom! He's sweeter than any monster you'll ever meet, though (except maybe Cookie Monster ;)

Happy Seventh Birthday, Archie!!!

How did my baby turn into a seven-year-old second-grader? We love you and are so proud of you, Archie!
