First Pool Fun!

I've been chomping at the bit to give Grant his first pool experience for awhile now, and June 26 on his 9-week birthday we took the plunge in the baby pool at MacGills Commons. He LOVED it. I knew he would. He's loved water since his earliest tub baths. He is my first child who doesn't even mind getting his hair washed. I actually think he likes it.

Brother and Sister were happy to show him the ropes in the pool.

Getting out and dry was probably his least favorite part, but he certainly was a cutie. More water, please!

Happy 2 Months!

Grant is a big, happy two-month-old. He weighed in at 15 lb 12 oz and stretched out to an amazing 25 inches! He smiles and coos and continues to delight his whole family. Mommy and Daddy are especially happy because he's a champion sleeper and went a record 10 hour 45 minute stretch last night. Grace designed the "2" he's pictured with.

Archie's First Piano Recital

Archie and I have been working on piano since the beginning of the school year. He had a chance to show off his efforts by playing the Doxology at our homeschool Share Fair. He was motivated to work harder by hearing some of the older, better kids play.

Nice to Meet You, Aunt Kay!

We were so happy to introduce Grant to his Great Aunt Kay last week. It was love at first sight!

Happy One Month with BONUS Archie/Grant Baby Pic Comparison

Grant turned ONE MONTH old on May 24! Archie made this awesome #1!

Archie loves Grant like crazy. Before Grant was born, I knew he would be a good big brother, but I thought he would be largely indifferent to Grant. Boy was I wrong!

Archie - between 4-6 weeks

Grant - 5 weeks

This is our beloved stuffed tuzi (Chinese for rabbit). It was one of Archie's first baby gifts in China and has stayed in our family ever since. (It narrowly missed getting left. We were leaving the apartment to head back to the U.S. and, on a whim, I went back inside, took a look under the table and found him where he had been accidentally discarded. Sure am glad I had the chance to scoop him up!)

Grace (100 days)

People always ask me who does Grant look like? The easy answer is ARCHIE. Grant looks so much like Archie looked when he was a baby it's almost uncanny. I'll be interested to see who he looks like a few years down the road. Good thing Archie is such a handsome dude!

This outfit is one of the few of Archie's I brought home from China. Fun to see them side by side in it. The bouncy chair is even similar!
