Transportation on Vacation

Getting around Pattaya, Thailand is quite an experience. There are no taxis so you have to take a songtao, which is basically a pick-up truck with lots of seats in the back and a wire cage for safety?
First, a picture of the vehicle I found on Google.

Now, Archie's reaction. (I admit, it's not my favorite mode of transportation either due to the safety factor.)

At least he warmed up to the scenery and the nice breeze.

I am happy to report that in Korea we did have a safe-traveling experience. When our friends picked us up at the bus stop, Archie got his first experience riding in a car seat. He didn't seem to mind it. (If you're wondering why we don't use a car seat, it's because there are no seatbelts in the taxis we have to take where we live.)

Happy Valentine's Day! More vacation pics to come!

Hunter,

We drove in one of those trucks with 13 people...two hanging onto the back for dear life. It was definitely an adventure. It was great to see you and now I have a way to keep in touch.

Glad to hear you made it home safely. I'll keep in touch.

Hunter,

It was great to see y'all in Thailand! We drove in one of those trucks with 13 people and two were hanging onto the back for dear life. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't drive so crazy.

Glad to see you made it home safely. I'll keep in touch now that I have a way to contact you.
